Why Donate?
Thank you for considering a donation to the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestras (AYPO), named "One of the Best Small Nonprofits in the Greater Washington Region" by the Catalogue for Philanthropy.
When you give to AYPO, you provide a wealth of musical opportunities to hundreds of promising young musicians throughout our region, from training under stellar artistic staff, to performing some of the finest orchestral repertoire ever written. Your gift also allows AYPO to continue our work in the community, such as offering more than 1,000 free, weekly, private music lessons to underserved students in local public schools through our Music Buddies Mentorship program. And, finally, your support helps AYPO continue its Scholarship Program, which annually awards thousands of dollars to talented young musicians demonstrating financial need, giving these students the opportunity to participate in our highly competitive program.
Sample ways your gift can be used:
$100 - Pays for one sectional coaching session with a professional musician
$250 - Gives 25 underserved children free admission to an AYP concert
$500 - Underwrites one tuition Scholarship for one musician
$1,500 - Provides free private music lessons for 3 underserved students for one school year
$2,500 - Partially funds concert hall expenses for one AYPO concert
