Administrative Staff Peggy Adams, Interim Executive Director • exec@aypo.org • 703-642-8053 Eric Schnobrick, General Manager (full time) • manager@aypo.org • 703-642-8052 Eric Schnobrick joined AYPO in November 2012. His responsibilities include managing the four orchestras, rehearsals, concert operations, and auditions. In 2002 Eric earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the State University of New York College at Fredonia. In 2006, he earned two Master of Music degrees in Accompanying and in Opera Coaching from Florida State University. Since graduating, Eric has been Assistant Conductor for the Fort Worth Opera and the New National Theatre YAP (Tokyo), Interim Assistant Chorus Master/Conductor for the Palm Beach Opera (Florida), Staff Condcutor/Coach/Accompanist for the Seagle Music Colony (New York), Resident Artist Coach/Accompanist for the Minnesota Opera, Artistic Events and Music Manager at Glimmerglass Festival (New York), and Accompnist for the Alexandria Choral Society (Virginia). Before relocating to the Washington, D.C. area, Eric spent five seasons working for the Glimmerglass Festival in Cooperstown, New York. His years as the Artistic Events and Music Manager provided extensive experience working with people throughout the festival family, including the artists, orchestra, patrons and donors, stage managers, A/V crews, and front of house staff. He planned events and performances, organized and managed auditions to find the required artists, and coordinated the rehearsals necessary to make those performances successful. Michelle Wallace, Education & Outreach Manager (full time) • outreach@aypo.org • 703-642-8054 Michelle Wallace joined AYPO in September 2006. She manages the Music Buddies Mentorship Program, the Chamber Ensemble Program, media & public relations, graphic & print design (including the concert programs and Vivace newsletters), and the website. Before working for AYPO, Michelle was the Special Events Intern at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C. while attending the University of Maryland (College Park). She was involved with fundraising and planning for the annual silent auction and gala. At the University of Maryland, Michelle was a Resident Assistant for incoming freshman students. She also worked with the Conferences and Visitor Services department to manage summer programs such as the Special Olympics and Odyssey of the Mind’s international competition. In 2005, Michelle studied abroad in Brisbane, Australia where she focused on Australian and Aboriginal literature and culture. Michelle graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature and is currently enrolled in two certificate programs at Northern Virginia Community College: Photography & Emerging Imaging and Multimedia Web & Graphic Design. Michelle resides in Virginia and has also lived in Massachusetts, Alaska, New York and California, growing up as a military child in a United States Coast Guard family. She played the clarinet for seven years in her youth before pursuing photography and other creative arts.
